This interesting nautical style brooch is signed with a copyright symbol and then Coro in script at the bottom edge of the brooch back. I have been unsuccessful in determining when this mark was first used, however, I believe that it became a standard after 1955 to use the copyright symbol. Coro was in business until 1979 and I believe this brooch is likely from the late 60's or early 70's. It measures nearly 1 1/2" in diameter. The brooch depicts a schooner style ship sailing inside the inner confines of a compass in white and blue enameling on a silver tone setting. There are a couple of flaws in the enameling which can be seen in the pictures.
